Maureen Miller

Artistic Director

Mrs. Miller received her early dance training in Newcastle, Australia. She successfully completed all the Royal Academy examinations, including Solo Seal. Her training then continued on scholarship at Rosella Hightower Centre de Dance Classique in Cannes, France.

Lisa Startsman

Ballet Mistress

Mrs. Startsman received her training with the Canton Ballet and went on to earn a degree in Dance from the University of Akron. She continued training with the Ohio Ballet and in New York City with Nancy Bielski and Robert Blankshine.

Martha Faesi

Guest Choreographer

Ms. Faesi began her training in Dallas, TX at the Edith James Studio under the tutelage of renowned artists such as Natalia Krasovska, Alexandra Danilova, Victor Moreno, Fernando Schaffenburg and Nikita Talin.

The Loudoun Ballet Company was formed in 1978 by Sheila Hoffmann-Robertson so that her students at the Loudoun School of Ballet could have the opportunity to perform regularly in front of audiences, thereby developing a sense of theatricality as well as technique.
